Red Cloud

Red Cloud was a leader of the Lakota people. He led many attacks on the US Military and was very successful in all of his battles. His life was filled with war. He fought other tribes early in life and later lead his people in the most successful war of an Indian tribe against the US. Most of his war battles occurred before the Battle at Little Big Horn, but he continued to resist tactics of the US in other ways.

What were his contributions to history?

What were his values? Read some quotes

What battles was he involved in? What role did he have in those battles?

How did he die?

He lived longer than all the other leaders of the Sioux. He was successful in all his battles. Most of his life was spent in war. He was a great leader.

Red Cloud valued his people, his traditions, and tried to keep them with the white settlers moving in. We know it was important because he spent his life in battle to keep his way of life.

Red Cloud's main battle was Red Cloud's War which was a series of battles fought in the Wyoming and Montana territories.

he died at the age of 87 and he was buried on the pine ridge reservation he was never part of the ghost dance movement.
