George Custer (1839-1876) is considered by some a war hero. He served as a commander in the Civil War and became a Brigadier General of the United States Volunteers at the age of 23. He died at the Battle of Little Big Horn at the age of 36.

What were his contributions to history?

What were his values?

He and his men fought to the end, all being killed. Indian fatalities totaled about 100. Benteen and Reno were saved by the arrival of Terry's main force. The site of the fatal "Last Stand" has been preserved as Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. At the start of the Civil War, Custer was a cadet at the United State Military Academy at West Point, and his class's graduation was accelerated so that they could enter the war. Custer graduated last in his class and served at the First Battle of Bull Run as a staff officer for Major General George B. McClellan in the Army. In the Black Hills, and it was December 5, 1839 - June 25, 1876

One of the wars he will be remembered for the most I think is the Battle of the Little Bighorn.

He died because of his incompanence. He thought this was going to be a easy war, and for that, people died.

Sitting bull was shot in the head. By police offices

Anonymous said...

Sitting Bull had many contributions to history such as the way he fought in wars. He was pretty much invincible.

He believed in peace. He only wanted the best for his tribe.

He was involved in Battle of little big horn, Red Clouds war, ect.

Sitting Bull was a chief Sioux in the wars.

Police officers came into his house late at night and dragged him outside and shot him in the head.
