Marcus Reno

Marcus Reno was in charge of the only unit that survived the Battle at Little Big Horn. He was known as a coward after the battle because he retreated during the battle. He was originally not even allowed to be buried with the men at the memorial site.

Crazy Horse - The Man

Sioux Chief Crazy Horse lead many battles against the US because he disputed treaties established by the US military. He is acclaimed for his ferocity in battle and efforts in preserving his peoples way of life. He refused to have pictures taken of him and most images of him today are interpretations, such as this one by Brian Fox. Crazy Horse is most famous for his leadership in the Battle of Little Big Horn.

General George Custer

George Custer (1839-1876) is considered by some a war hero. He served as a commander in the Civil War and became a Brigadier General of the United States Volunteers at the age of 23. He died at the Battle of Little Big Horn at the age of 36.
